In a strategic move to revolutionize medical and wellness tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has launched several initiatives. This ambitious plan includes the establishment of six specialized AYUSH wellness centers in popular tourist locales like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg, with half already operational.
Additionally, 20 Ayush Villages are being set up near key tourist sites, offering traditional wellness therapies and organic living experiences. Wellness centers at various tourist spots are being developed to provide holistic health services.
This initiative is complemented by the promotion of medical tourism, aligning with the national vision, and significant infrastructure enhancement, including the development of Ayurvedic and Unani medical colleges and hospitals.
