This is remarkably excellent ambient advertisement campaign launched by Salvation Army in Argentina with a view to urge people to donate their used clothes to needy and poor people. The campaign was designed to hit people’s sentiments who can afford to spare some clothes for the cause. An image of the needy person with his finger extended as a hanger was placed in fitting rooms. The idea was compel people to hang their clothes on the finger in the trial room which carries hard-hitting message to invoke thoughts in this direction.
There was also an option that visitors or buyers could leave their clothes there only which would have been handed over to Salvation Army to distribute it among needy people. There were some eyebrows raised over the perception that the person appeared on the poster does not look like a needy person but actually his empty but inquisitive eyes with expectations reveals all. The text of the ad reads, ‘your old clothes fit other people’. The campaign was developed by JWT, Argentina.
