The front rows have been shown as locking together at the lips. Many former rugby players have raised their eyebrows over the presentation of the advertisement saying, ‘It’s obviously a bit of tongue in cheek’.

The advertisement has been launched by the Regional Tourism Committee of Paris in London. Spokesperson, Francois Navarro, for Paris Regional Tourism Board has said that the advertisement was on billboards and video screens in London. In his statement he further said, ‘People are smiling when they see the ad and the gay community is very happy with it. We have had a very good reaction to it.’ The tourism board’s website suggests that the advertisement was intended to show Londoners that Paris is a dynamic, multi-faceted region brimming with exciting events.
