These ultra-thin technological chips are what technologists are swearing by. From ties to caps, jackets and pants everything is technical today. In this techno-fashion scenario the new entrant is the OLED. The ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) demonstrated its flexible OLED during Next Generation Computing Show 2007 in Seoul, Korea.
According to the ETRI, flexible display is affordable when using roll-to-roll production method! Because it does not require any backlight to function, the OLEDs are cheaper as they consume less power. It is thin enough to be called e-paper and offers indisputable natural color production.
Application of this technology has gained ground even in small lifestyle products like wallet, shirts and tie. Gen Next is on the go and the world, for them, is no more on the palm of their hands, it is anywhere they want it to be.
