Cannes Lions winners: U.S. dominates the cyber ad category

The U.S. proved its mettle and its dominance in the world of virtual advertising in the ongoing Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

U.S. ad agencies virtually swept the awards in the cyber category more precisely for on-line ads as it managed to win two nest-in-show Grand Prix, nine gold, six silver, and eight bronze Lions.

However, U.S. lagged behind by far in the category of print ads at the festival. U.S. agencies just managed to get one gold and three bronze in the press competition for best ads in print section.

The very first work of Droga5, a new agency, was awarded two cyber Grand Prix for a viral campaign. The ad was for the clothing line Ecko.
