The star pop singer and entrepreneur Jay-Z has been chosen co-brand director of Anheuser-Busch beer brand Budweiser Select. Shawn Carter who is popularly known as Jay-Z will participate in the company’s planning sessions to provide his thoughts and insight into brand name building strategy. Apart from this exercise, the pop singer will also help the company to create ads for Budweiser.
Anheuser-Busch in a clear shift in strategy has for the very first time signed up a celebrity to develop and popularize its beer brand. In the meanwhile, St. Louis based advertising agency Cannonball teamed up with Jay-Z and the Budweiser Select brand to work on the advertisement campaign. The 60-second ad of this genre will incorporate the scenes and shots of the new album of Jay-Z ‘Show me what you got’.
