A public service ad highlights Utah’s ‘safe heaven law’ targeted towards young women who have an unwanted birth. ‘No Police, No Questions,’ the tagline in the advertising campaign lets the birth parents know about Utah’s ‘safe heaven law’ under which a girl can anonymously leave her baby, 72 hours old or younger, at any of State hospital that is open to 24 hours.

The anonymity is important because the young mums do not want anyone to know about the pregnancies and relinquish their new born babies in dumpsters, dresser drawers or at the back seat of abandoned cars.

The law since it came to effect in May 2001 has saved many a new born babies. The officials feel still majority of Utah girls do not know that a law of such kind exists.

The three spots, which also include a dumpster in an alley and sound of a baby crying as the garbage is emptied.
