The growth possibilities of Internet advertising has been grossly underestimated since the predictions for online advertising growth refrain from including advertisement on video, social media or mobile phones, said Terry Semel, CEO of Yahoo. Further, basing his argument on these factors ha said that the growth potential for online advertising is being understated.

The CEO of Yahoo went on to conclude that the sponsorship, different forms of advertising and other innovative and clever ways to integrate advertising with online video will be developed in the recent time to come.

On the other hand, ZenithOptimedia, media buying and planning firm, has reportedly stated that Internet is expected to receive greater share of global ad spending in comparison with outdoor ads and it will soon overtake radio as well.
