Internet advertising revenue marked a remarkable growth of 33 percent, year to year basis, in the third quarter to reach $4.2 billion. However, on consecutive quarterly basis online ad revenue showed a minimal growth, reveals a latest report compiled by Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

According to the report, online advertising revenue marked a rise of just two percent in comparison with second quarter, despite of the fact that the largest ever amount was spent on the online advertising in the third quarter.

The increase in the online ad revenue is largely owing to the fact that Internet media companies have been very keen on seeking higher growth possibilities on the internet.
