Brands are beginning to realize the importance of applying creative tactics suitable to regional peculiarities. So, it is natural that asian models are more suitable when advertising in Asia.
In this regard, Cosmetics giants Estée Lauder and Maybelline have already stepped onto such a big effort. They are adding Asian faces to their brands in order to appeal.
For example, Liu Wen is the new face of Estée Lauder and the companyâs first Asian model.
She was also the first Asian face to walk the runway for lingerie giant Victoriaâs Secret in 2009. She is already a star in her own country, gracing many pages of Vogue China. She appears in Septemberâs U.S. edition of Vogue.
Meanwhile, in another similar effort, Maybelline has added “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” star Zhang Ziyi as its Asian model.
