VW Polo has a new advert now. Polo-Built to protect. VW with this new DDB London creation wants to move on without any more fake advertising, bad press and bad mouth publicity which it all has gathered after Lee and Dan’s suicide bomber viral marketing gimmick last January.

Volkswagen communication manager Catherine Woolfe said, “Polo’s forte has always been toughness but we needed to add emotional resonance to this to connect the car to its target audience.”

Hmm…emotional resonance sounds fine but overdoing may hurt. This one looks cool, safely surreal, and no hard hitting small but tuff neo-realism violence.

Reader you get it, I am sure.

Anyways, this creative is been directed by Cannes award winner Frederic Planchon. With this new television advertisement Volkswagen Polo is launching a new model of car. The advert shows guardian angels protecting the city’s inhabitants and human charges.

A stark contrast from the earlier fake one.

The TV and print campaign targets young and independent women who prefer a small and safe (and sweet and tender) car.
