Scottish rocker band Franz Ferdinand has turned down a $50 million offer to feature an advertising campaign as the band feels by doing so, it would compromise with its artistic integrity.

The offer came from the band’s one of U.S. record label. It wants the rockers to star in a television commercial for the release of their second album, ‘You Could Have It So Much Better.’

The deal would have got the foursome multi millions instantly and definitely would have increased the sale of the albums several fold, but the group it seems has rejected the campaign because:

A) They don’t want to be associated with not-so-well-known brand and
B) The group members may do not want to surrender their identity and integrity to the product.

Now you people don’t think Franz Ferdinand does not do any promotion at all. It has done some ad for Tennent’s Lager earlier, and also for one mobile phone in Italy and MP3 player in Japan.
