Dutch Insurance company, Centraal Beheer Achmea has been ordered by a court in The Hague to stop airing its television commercial. The ad ahs parodied Netherlands Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk’s denial to grant Ivory Coast born football star Salomon Kalou a fast track citizenship. The court ruled that the insurance company to either withdraw the commercial or pay 50,000 euro every time it airs the ad.
In the commercial, a look alike Verdonk watches on TV as Kalou look alike plays for Germany in the world cup against the Dutch. Then German goalkeeper Oliver Khan (another look alike, it seems the insurance company does not believe in banking on real players)thanks the minister after Kalou scores a goal.
