The wind of change has already swept through the traditional corners of the American News Consumer’s mind frame. That is what a new study from by the Pew Internet & Life Project indicates.

The study named “Understanding the Participatory News Consumer”, which analyzed the media habits of the American people, points out that people have begun to depend on news websites as their news source.

Well, this is not a surprising factor. The surprising factor is in fact the diminishing trust among the American news consumers. That is, they don’t put their trust on any particular news website, unlike the past scenario in which people put their trust on a particular newspaper.

The days of loyalty to a particular news organization on a particular piece of technology in a particular form are gone
. The study says.

Sixty-five percent of respondents said they don’t have a single favorite site for news. About half of respondents get news from four to six platforms in a single day.
