Well, it is said that just before you are going to die, the whole memories of your entire lifetime will flash before your eyes. Indeed, we are not sure about the case of people who die suddenly. But, suppose the case of someone who is going to committee suicide by jumping into a river. I think that there is enough time to experience whatever comes to mind. Well, this ambient suicide prevention effort remembers the suicidal Serbs to call the help line.
The facts as said in the brief- In Serbia in average 1500 persons take their own lives per year, 40 jumping from Belgrade bridges.
So, this effort, developed by McCann Erickson Belgrade, Serbia, projected a message with phone number of the Suicide Prevention Office on the river. The projected message and phone number can be seen when looking down from the bridge only.
One who standing on the bridge to commit suicide can be seen the message – You are not alone
I am not sure about the effectiveness of this advertising effort on preventing suicides. But I do believe that it can grab more attention and developing more awareness about the problem.
