STIHL: A brilliant concept for promoting hedge trimmer

STIHL rolled out this print advertisement campaign to promote its product, Hedge Trimmer in an interesting and amusing way. The campaign has used pet STIHL approach to advertise its products in a humorous way. It aims to exaggerate and amplify the problem that can be resolved only through the product. The advertisement is showing Jockey is being trapped in an overgrown hedge with his horse. However, it is a bit puzzling that what the horse rider was doing there. This advertisement was launched in France.

The campaign is certainly based on a very smart idea though the idea was earlier exercised but here it has exceptional execution. The presentation of the campaign is considerably remarkable and it communicates the message effectively. Some also pointed out that the advertisement could even work for a fertilizer product. The concept can also be used for an ambient advertisement. Following the strong visual presence no punch line was used in the advertisement. The advertisement was brainchild of DDB, Paris, France.
