Following the events at Madrid Fashion Week, where thin models had to be turned away owing to their thinness, top Israeli retailers too joined the voices against them. Israeli industry has decided not to feature underweight models in their advertising campaign. The decision has been taken to take safeguard against anorexia.

Adi Braken, the person who reportedly initiated this campaign in Israel has said that he started this campaign only when after working with many models he found that they had inappropriate body mass index. He further said that sometime the ratio of height to weight was as less as 14 at times.

Now onwards Israeli business sphere is not suppose to undertake any model for the assignment whose BMI is less than 18. Almost similar measures are expected to be taken in other European nations as well as the issue is being furiously being debated.
