The Internet advertising business is likely to $1.04 billion mark in South Korea in the year 2007, revealed a keyword advertising company Korea Overture. The report says that the huge growth is now on the cards as top 1,000 South Korean companies has moved their advertisement funds to online advertising. The company further predicted that the online advertising will shot up by 15.2 percent over 2006.
The total advertising market of the country is hovering around $7.7 billion. According to the report, keyword advertising that constitutes roughly around $654.6 million, which accounts for 60 percent of total online advertising market. The keyword advertising business is expected to grow at 21.5 percent this year.
At present, in South Korea there are 35 million Internet users that make up South Korea the fourth largest online users after the U.S., U.K. and Japan.
