A print advertising campaign showing Winston Churchill saying ‘Keep Britain Flying’ by the no-frills Ryanair came under intense criticism. The strap line of the ad reads ‘Lets beat terrorism together’. The campaign however, seems to have infuriated people to a great extent as the ASA has already received ten complaints regarding the ad so far.
The criticism are being made on the ground that this marketing strategy is quite offensive and insensitive as it attempts to make money on the back of terror threat that was looming large on UK earlier this month.
