Scottish rock star Shirley Manson is the latest celebrity to join in an animal rights group’s advertisement campaign taking up issue with the re-emergence of fur in fashion. The campaign clearly aims at attacking fur wearing celebrities or people in general. The advertisement is showing Shirley Manson wearing an evening gown holding a skinned fox. The latest hard-hitting Peta advertisement was launched as wearing fur has once again become irresistible to a growing number of Britain’s style icons including Naomi Campbell and UK-based Madonna.
The advertisement was shot in Los Angeles by top photographer Frank W Ockenfels. The poster campaign will be launched in Edinburgh, Manson’s home town, before spreading out to cities across Europe during 2007. The copy of the ad reads, ‘Here is the rest of your fur coat’.
