Pantene has launched this interesting print advertisement to promote its product, hair oil that helps restoring age damaged hair back into good health. Since the ageing is the most prominent aspect in the product, the campaign has zeroed in the historical Mona Lisa to feature in the advertisement as she incorporates both ageing and timelessness. The advertisement features the famous portray of Mona Lisa with a slight retouching on her hair and displaying the product at the lower end.
At first sight, the advertisement seems to be quite confusing as it heavily focuses on the historic portray than the product. However, a closer look reveals the entire story and the product benefit. The idea of using Mona Lisa may be relevant here or have been made relevant but the idea has been used many a time so it cannot be dubbed as fresh. The copy of the ad reads, ‘Pantene Time Renewal. Restores age-damaged hair.’
