This print advertisement campaign was launched under Montana Meth Project with a view to urge youths to abstain from using methamphetamine even for once. The campaign to create awareness had become extremely urgent in the wake of a report that from 1990 to 2004, the rate of meth related hospital admissions in rural Arizona counties increased by 2,950 percent. The figure was released by the Attorney General’s Office.
The advertisements intend to stop youth right at the onset from using meth when there are high chances that they can access the material. Apparently, the advertisements are showing the repulsive effects arising out of addiction of meth. The representation of the advertisements and its supporting text is very effectively conveying its message across. The punch line of the campaign reads, ‘Meth: not even once’.
