Grappled with increased expenses, the outdoor advertising agency, Lamar Advertising Co. delivered a poor show in the first quarter result. However, company gives a second quarter estimate that slightly beats the Wall Street expectations. Driven by favorable inventory and good pricing trend, analysts expect the agency will put up some good show in the next quarter.
Recently Jacksonville Transportation Authority has signed five year contract with the agency to provide all its transit advertising. Under this agreement Lamer Advertising will sell advertising on JTA buses and transit facilities.
The agency will also plant some eye catching billboards at West 12th Street. The new technology billboards will display new slogan/image in every ten seconds.
