Kelloggs ad: man rides dog & infuriates animal lovers

This TV commercial of Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cornflakes has been dragged to the middle of intense controversy as many infuriated animal lovers have already complained to the advertising watchdog. The ad has shown a short man riding on a giant Irish Wolfhound back home from office. The eyebrows were raised on the ground that the dog was featured pouring milk on the man’s cereal and the dog was shown as a means of transport.

Therefore, disgruntled person have alleged that the ad has shown extreme cruelty to the animal and they raised alarm that children may copy these actions. However, the scenes of the ad are computer generated and it is easy to make out. The company has clarified that their attempt was to create an ad closer to a cartoon.

The ASA has dismissed all 100 official complaints citing that the most viewers were able to make out that the picture were not real and were computer-generated.
