In order to attract young adults and trigger discussion about Jesus Christ, Churches Advertising Network has decided to put image of Jesus Christ in an empty pint of beer. The advertising wing of the church further feels that the advertisement would encourage more British people to attend Churches in the coming Christmas.
Francis Goodwin, chairperson of CAN, believes the poster and radio advertisement campaign would definitely initiate a debate about religion. The CAN have taken this decision to advertise in this manner, when it felt that the concept of Christmas has now been restricted to parties and enjoyment. The previous ad campaign of CAN has depicted Jesus as the revolutionary leader Che Guevara.
