In India, low cost airlines are pitched in intensive battle for cutthroat fare in order to attract consumers and the trend resulted in squeezed profit margin.

The present situation is acting like double jeopardy for the private airlines as they simply cannot roll back their policies of low cost fare however, struggling to raise their revenue at the same time. Obviously, now they are trying to sell every inch of their planes to the advertisers.

GoAir is planning to sell their ad space on the overhead baggage lockers and on the tray tables. Air Deccan, in the meanwhile is not far behind as it is planning to put ads on passenger seat backs and the aisle of the aircraft. The latest company in the Indian air, IndiGo is already in talks with Pepsi and credit card companies to place the ads on the uniforms of the crewmembers.

The airline owners have gone to the extent where they think why only airsickness bags in the line of U.S. airlines, ad should be placed every possible spots.
