Just a few hours back Google putting end to all speculation and turned the rumor into reality by acquiring YouTube in an all-stock transaction. Finally, both the companies have agreed for the full acquisition of YouTube for a whopping $1.65 billion and the deal is likely to be completed by in the fourth quarter. However, it was also agreed upon that YouTube’s 65 employees will stay with the company at its headquarters at San Bruno.
In the meanwhile, it is also revealed that Yahoo was also trying hard to in the bidding war until recently. Moreover, it is yet to see that to what extent the deal is going to help Google in the long run as the matter was intensely debated that Google should go for an exclusive deal based on the revenue sharing that complete acquisition of the company.
