Humor is an element which should be handled very carefully in advertising. of course, humor has its own dividends, but when it misfires it will cause more damage to the brands.
That is why humor is a double-edged sword in advertising. you need to consider the aptness, the character of the brand, the target audience, and the tone before you jump to the hilarious line of communication. This ad for febreze, indeed aptly uses dignified humor for the product.
The ad, developed by Grey Paris, shows a Grannie with her dog which seems to her like a good-smelling flower. The copy reads- even your dog will smell nicer.
