Life is precious. But when it comes to the matter of death penalty, sometimes it is considered by some people that some lives needed to be taken forever, as a punishment for the heinous crimes committed by them. But, will this practice of executing the condemned do anything positive for the society? This amnesty ad, developed by TBWA Paris, says an emphatic no with a creatively touching approach.
The ad features life-sized wax tableaux of executioners around the world melting down until only the Amnesty candle of hope remains.
It says- The condemned simply vanish, avoiding a potentially confusing mixed message
The ad hints at countries where capital punishment exists- China, Libya, Syria, Viet Nam, Yemen(shooting) , Bangladesh, Botswana, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Japan, North Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Sudan, Syria(hanging ), Saudi Arabia(beheading ) and USA(electrocution)
