WebLoyalty faces class action lawsuit about ‘coupon click fraud’

A company called WebLoyalty.com facing class action lawsuit after users claimed that a $10 pop-up coupon was charged from their credit cards. The alleged victim, Julie Collins has said that she had at least $50 in unauthorized charges while she was booking a hotel reservation on Priceline.com. According to her, after completed her transaction with Priceline.com she had clicked a pop-up ad offering $10 off. Later, she noticed a $10 had been deducted from her credit card for ‘Reservations rewards’.

When ConsumerWatch examined the matter, they found the company offering Reservation reward is under the purview of federal class action lawsuit. As a matter of fact, Webloyalty.com using the same information regarding the credit cards that were communicated with Priceline.com and consumers were charged $10 per month without their consent.
