With Obama clinching the crown, itâs not possible to take on the day without discussing the US Elections. However, unlike others, Iâd just share what future is holding for us, not only in the field of advertising and media, but whatever you can think about branding. And it is the hologram of CNN. Check out the video and, if not given a hint, you would certainly believe that Jessica Yellin is right there inside the CNN Election Center. However, thatâs not true. Itâs just a hologram. Jessica explains how 35 high-definition cameras capture images from different angles and project them impeccably in real time. The images are stitched together giving a complete visual of a person in 3D.
Quite impressive! CNN chose the right time to introduce the technology. The future of communication is here. With more developments, the technology can be used to actually produce more colorful and bigger output. Amit right predicts that the technology can change the face of Web Conferencing.
Gizmodo tells how exactly the system works.
Holographic advertising can be used to beam the products, directly or via a communicator, to the consumers on the sidewalks. Presenting demos, of course, without borders, at various locations would be magical. Vizoo, a Danish advertising and film company, introduced a similar technology a few years back.
Another considerable step towards a true holographic campaign is AURA by Holo FX.
