China’s online ad revenue beat magazines

Well, it has experienced a 71 percent rise in 2005 and made a cool 302 million yuan (China’s currency, 1 USD= 8.10 yuan), iResearch reports, the ad revenue for 2005 is eight times more than 2002. Allyes Adnetwork took the first position as the top online advertising agency with a revenue with 300 mllion yuan, followed by Adchoice ( 250 million) and Beijing Dentsu Advertisment (230 million). In 2005 China online advertising agencies gathered more than 20 million as revenue.

The online advertising revenue was in fact more than magazine advertising spend. Real Estate, Internet service providers (ISPs) and IT services and products are the biggest spenders in the online advertising market.
