This is an interesting television advertisement campaign launched by Cathay Pacific Airways to promote Hong Kong Rugby Sevens Tournament that held between 30th March and 1st April. This tournament is being regarded as Asia’s one of the biggest sporting event, which is now in its 31st year, and in rugby-loving nations around the world, the Hong Kong Sevens have assumed a legendary status. The campaign has attempted to show the killer instinct of the tournament through the help of kung fu actions, which draw resemblance with the various martial art movies.

The presentation of the advertisement is quite fast moving as it has been for a furiously played game, rugby. However, the advertisement is actually a delight to watch as it has shown some kung fu actions. Further, linking rugby with kung fu seems to be meeting logical end keeping in view the region where it is being played. Cathay Pacific also invites people on its website to win tickets for the tournament. The punch line of the ad reads, ‘No body does rugby like Hong Kong’.
