Matthew Robson, a 15-year old boy who is an intern for Morgan Stanley, conducted a media study called âHow Teenagers Consume Media and conclusions. The study, which examines the teenagerâs media habits in a new, unique light, may not be completely true. But, it is worth reading.
About radio, Robson opines that most teenagers are not regular listeners to radio, instead opting for online streaming services. The study points out that though most teens watch television, it frequency varies by season. Additionally, now that TV shows are webcasted as well, thereâs less worry about missing an episode.
The study does not give any good remark on traditional newspapers. ââNo teenager that I know of regularly reads a newspaper, as most do not have the time and cannot be bothered to read pages and pages of text while they could watch the news summarised on the internet or on TV.ââ Robson writes.
Though internet is where teens interact socially, Matthew states that teens do not use Twitter. He says that teens are attracted by viral marketing.
