Earwax is one of the most common causes of hearing loss in individuals. For cleaning earwax, use one spoon of vinegar to a cup of warm water or a few drops of hydrogen peroxide. By using an eyedropper, one can place a few drops in one ear, keep it for a few minutes and then allow it to drain off. Then it should be repeated with the other ear. This can be done twice or thrice a day. One should not use cotton swabs to clean earwax as this can push the wax further in and exaggerate the problem further. If the earwax is still very hard, one should use garlic oil to soften it for two or three days. After using garlic oil, the ear should be washed with warm water. Various cases of earwax formation can be treated with these processes. Ear candling is another method of removing earwax from one’s ears. In this method special candles are used to treat this earwax formation. These candles are available at health food stores.
