Neosporin Ointment Recipe 1

Coconut Oil 7

What you need:

  • Coconut Oil – ½ cup (you can also choose olive oil)
  • Grapeseed Oil – ½ cup
  • Lavender Essential Oil – 15 drops
  • Chamomile Leaves – ½ cup (you can also choose other healing herbs like calendula, lavender, comfrey and plantain etc.)
  • Beeswax – 4 tbsp.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.

Blend the oils (coconut and grapeseed) together and infuse them with the chamomile leaves in a double boiler over low heat for about 30 minutes. Remember to stir the mixture nicely during the process.

After straining the herbs from the oil, place the oil back on the boiler. Add the beeswax to the oil and stir nicely until it has melted completely.

Pour this mixture into a container and add the lavender essential oil. Add the honey to the mixture and continue stirring until the mixture sets nicely.

Place the set ointment inside an airtight container in a cool place and use on minor burns and scrapes. It will offer quick relief from the pain and swelling in the region in addition to preventing bacterial infections on or near the wound.

Neosporin Ointment Recipe 2

What you need:

  • Olive Oil – ¼ cup
  • Coconut Oil – ¼ cup
  • Lemon Essential Oil – 10 drops
  • Lavender Essential Oil – 20 drops
  • Melaleuca A. Essential Oil – 8 drops
  • Frankinsence Essential Oil – 12 drops
  • Beeswax – 1 tbsp.

Procedure

Fill a pot with water up to the halfway mark. Place a glass bowl inside the pot ensuring that the water does not enter the bowl.

Add the olive oil, coconut oil and beeswax to the bowl and place the pot over a low heat flame. Once the oils and beeswax melt completely, add the essential oils and stir nicely.

Pour the mix into an airtight container and allow it to cool. It will set nicely. Use this mixture on your wounds, scrapes, cuts and bruises regularly for quick recovery.

Neosporin Ointment Recipe 3

Rosemary

What you need:

  • Olive Oil – 2 cups
  • Beeswax – ¼ cup
  • Echinacea Root – 1 tsp.
  • Dried Comfrey Leaf – 2 tbsp.
  • Dried Plantain Lead – 2 tbsp.
  • Dried Calendula Flowers – 1 tbsp.
  • Dried Yarrow Flowers – 1 tsp.
  • Dried Rosemary Leaf – 1 tsp.

Procedure

Add the herbs to the olive oil and infuse the same over low heat for about 3 hours. The oil will turn deep green in color by this time. If you don’t prefer heating the mixture, you can store it in an airtight container for about 4 weeks. Shake the container without fail every day. By the end of the fourth week, the herbs would have infused well into the oil.

Strain the herbs from the oil. Place the oil in a double boiler over a low flame and add the beeswax to it. Stir nicely until the beeswax melts. Pour the mixture into an airtight container and allow it to cool down and set properly. When done, you can use the ointment on cuts, stings, scrapes, bites, rashes and even poison ivy breakouts.
