Of all the endangered wildlife species in the world, the Panda has got to be the most well recognized one. Sadly, the magnificent beast, who also happens to be the mascot of the wildlife conservation agency WWF, is also on the verge of extinction with less than 3000 of them roaming on the face of the earth as we speak. But the good news is that the environmentalist group is reaching out to all human kind and their latest bid to highlight the urgent need to protect the vanishing species resulted in them having nearly 1,600 Papier mache giant pandas swamp Paris City Hall last week.
Measuring around 40 centimeters in height, the hand-painted pandas are all set to pose with the cityâs most famous monuments in weeks to come and also have a trip around other sites in France planned in their itinerary.
I wonder if it wouldnât have made more sense for the agency to have the pandas sit around in monuments across Beijing given how thatâs like their native country, and especially with the Olympics due to start later this week. Anywho, you can watch the pandasâ being crafted for their Parisian adventure in the funky little video below.
