This television advertisement was launched by WWF Australia to urge Sydney residents to switch off their lights for an hour to mark their protest against global warming. A similar campaign was launched in Europe just a few days back supporting the same cause, global warming. The advertisement is showing many installations being switched off and in the end the entire city sinks in darkness.
The presentation of the advertisement is very straight and simple since the message of the ad holds the most vital aspect of the ad. The advertisement was launched under the title, ‘Earth Hour’. The advertisement was created by Leo Burnett.
WWF Australia has stated that, ‘The Earth Hour campaign will send a powerful message to the world that it’s possible to work together to make a massive contribution to reducing the effects of global warming.’
