Virgin Radio has kick start its Big Star promotional campaign by hanging a huge Perspex Virgin Radio Star above Regent Street in London. Earlier, somewhere in the last week they had launched a TV spot showing Virgin DJs Christian O’Connell and Suggs running around the city announcing that ‘Big Star is coming’. The Perspex is carrying an undisclosed amount in hard cash for keep people guessing the exact amount. When a person would guess the exact amount, he or she will be announced winner and would be given the cash that has been guessed.
The promotional ad campaign for Big Star is supported by a 40-second TV spot. Moreover, using best radio talent Christian O’Connell as the face of the ad campaign is a smart move by the company. He will sure leave an imprint on people’s memory.
