For Zen Vision M Apple iPod is the target. Dial Vision M now. Creative launched iPod like user interface after it won the patent for a new way music track.

Sim Wong Hoo told BBC, ‘We will pursue all manufacturers that use the same navigation system’

Forbes reports

While the $330 Vision:M has similar features to the high-end, fifth-generation iPod, such as a 30-gigabyte hard drive, it does tout the ability to play four hours’ worth of video, according to Creative. The video iPod can play only two hours. The Vision:M also supports a variety of audio and video file formats that the iPod does not play. These perks might be enough to convince fans of Windows PC-based products to purchase the Creative player instead of a competitor’s, Bajarin says.

Expectedly the machine will be priced around $330 and by the end of December it will be available in five different colors green, pink, blue, black and white. It wont be as slick as its competitors (no not talking about the advertising and marketing part)

Creative in a bid to outperform and gets back some lost money (some PR) is planning to sue all music players who are using its patented stuff. Last August Creative suffered a set back when its patent application for a user interface was rejected. Later part of that month though brought some respite when it’s won Zen patent from US Court.

Apple in all probability will have to shell out royalty on its popular device. Its important how soon the Court settles the matter.

Earlier in March Creative sought 12% of iPod’s revenue from Google for allegedly using digital right software on the device.
