The World Health Organization is about to form a tobacco control body in Geneva
The decision was taken at the first meeting of the parties of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, convened by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday…The anti-smoking treaty was finalized in May 2003 and came into force last year.
At the first such formal conference officials from 113 countries agreed to find ways to strengthen crackdowns on cross border cigarette advertising. WHO says by 2020 cigarette will be responsible more than 10 million premature deaths.
