The Seattle Times considered this print advertisement for Tourism Victoria too racy to publish in its magazine section. The newspaper refused to run this advertisement for being completely inappropriate. The advertisement was promoting company’s culinary delights. The company in recent times had been busy in defending edgy marketing.

And this is the most controversial advertisement in the series that claims, ‘your search for the perfect orgasm is over’, which was intended to refer to the region’s restaurant scene. In its official communique Seattle Times stated, ‘We felt the content of this ad was inappropriate in its context and would be objectionable to a wide audience. In such cases, we work with the advertiser to find alternatives that meet their needs. That was the case here as well’.

The advertisement was developed by Trapeze Communications on behalf of Tourism Victoria.
