This advertisement was launched in Canada to urge youth section to remain out of gang life as it only leads to death. The ‘stay out’ campaign was undertaken by Guru Nanak Sikh Gurudwara Society. The advertisement is apparently trying to persuade youths to stay out of these gangs which are like deadly diseases. The advertisement is trying to equate gang life with noxious diseases such as smallpox, HIV and cancer in order to emphasize that joining a gang is no less than embracing a lethal disease that will eventually lead him to death.

This advertisement launched in public interest has a very good agenda to focus on but it struggles in the effective and powerful presentation of the idea. However, even the idea was somewhat weaker as it dwells in ambiguity with no effective and compelling moment in the ad. The advertisement was showing seemingly bacteria of diseases under microscope and ultimately shows gang fight. The tag line of the advertisement says, ‘Gang life kills’. The advertisement is credited to DDB Canada.
