Contrary to popular belief, Anheuser-Busch ‘Here’s to Beer’ campaign do not have many followers. The biggest jolt came from Miller Brewing Co. last Friday, which hired a pilot to buzz its headquarters with a banner that reads ‘Sire Sire Pants On Fire!’
The company launched two ‘Here’s to Beer’ TV commercial last month and will open a new Web site for the campaign next week to promote beer over wine or cocktails as beer sales had slumped due to the two.
But no other brewer has pitched in money for the ad as it believes 50 percent profit would go to Anheuser-Busch which already hold no.1 place. It is also heard that the Beer Institute pulled its logo off the campaign after the first television ad ran during the Super Bowl.
