The advertising watchdog is again weilding its axe. Earlier we have seen a brief list of ASA interventions in the advertising industry. Now, ASA has banned the campaign of Advanced Hair Studio featuring Shane Warne.
The newspaper ad, which featured a picture of warne and says he used the studio’s hair and scalp fitness program, ahs been banned considering several compaints.
ASA says that the ad implied more than a cosmetic effect by suggesting that the (program) could reduce or stop hair loss and/or grow new hair, which had not been adequately substantiated, we concluded that the ad was likely to mislead.
