For organizations like Greenpeace, the biggest challenge is to breach our indifference towards the environment. Creatives advocating and exhorting our support have been churned out by the dozen, but the impact just seems to be missing. No credit, though, can be taken away from any of the ads ‘coz they are truly Cannes-deserving. However, in terms of attaining the objective, these ads have perhaps fallen short of seeping into our conscience. Nevertheless, the ‘Save the Seas’ campaign from Greenpeace is brilliant in its own way and in terms of creativity, there are no brownie points lost. Only, we would be happier if the end objective is met.
