Online viewers do not like long videos

According to a latest poll carried out by AP-AOL, just one in five online available video viewers used to watch or download a full-length movie or TV shows. However, more than half of the online users use to watch or download video content. News clips have been considered as most popular online video content as 72 percent online users watch this particular segment, then only come other online video content such as short movie, TV clips, music videos sports highlights and other contents.

Following the increasing popularity of online video content major Hollywood studios and television network are busy making their old and new programs available online that too free from commercials.

The findings of the poll also suggests following aspects:

1. Online video content have added to convenience and accessibility for online users but their television viewing habit is unchanged yet.

2. Among one-third users, using mostly high-speed internet, have started viewing online video more than what they were viewing a year back.

3. Almost 46 percent online users, using high-speed internet watch video at least once a week compared with 22 percent dial up users.
