I have previously opined that Chinese advertising efforts have an eerie effect. I admit that the graphic representation of fart and the scary ambient attack against domestic violence tempted me to say so. But this campaign, I am not sure whether the Chinese people are the targeted audience, is not eerie. At least it comes from Ogilvy & Mather Advertising at Beijing.
This campaign may seem to be slightly strange, but not indeed eerie. I would like to call it brilliant.
The campaign for Panadol features three funny representations of headache and how it is different for different persons. So we can see graphical representations of different kinds of headaches felt by a CEO, parents and a wife.
