Online giants unite to fight click frauds

There are times when even archrivals find some common ground to unite on. Similarly, three on-line giants & rivals Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have come on a single platform to support an effort to handle click frauds efficiently. Fraud clicks is in limelight since a few days due to the fact this trend infuriated advertisers as it inflates the cost of advertising online.

These three companies, along with a non-profit Media Rating Council have forged an alliance, Click Measurement Working group to produce a standard definition of a ‘click’. Recently, Google and Yahoo have been severely hit with many lawsuits from clients involving millions of dollars.

The new working group will take an effort to create ‘click measurement guidelines’ in order to establish a benchmark for determining invalid click.
