Being an internet user it won’t be strange if you despise the idea of pop up online advertisements. Well, the good news is that the online ad industry is supposed to slow down over the next few years. Believe it or not, but its true.

Statistics have proved that the percentage has gone up to about 29% since last year.Online ads would be reaching the $42 billion mark by next year i.e. 2011. Even though it will be only a 12% increase from 2010, it is still a lot of money. The social networks along with the web2.0 have been promoting the online ad industry.

Social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Bebo and even Google are making them open to the idea of online advertising. Video and mobile presentation of information drastically changed the face of online advertisement industry. Friend to friend recommendations can be a marketing dream. For example, you can go around telling people about orkut or myspace. That’s how I got started with my orkut and myspace accounts.

So despite the belief that online marketing and ad industry is going to droop, I think that the online ad sales will go up. With more and more people living their life online, it is quite natural that companies will now base internet as their primary medium of advertisement.
